In a small village in the Yucatan Peninsula, near Tulum, Alicia and Ofelia keep their ancestral tradition alive.
Each garment they manufacture represents their own lineage, continuing with the tradition of Mayan women hand embroidering their huipiles. Those techniques are nowadays adapted to modern and enterprising women, who love spontaneity, freedom and movement.
These OMNIA´s handmade garments are manufactured with regional organic cotton fabrics, that fit perfectly well to all body sizes. Each piece demands 3 or 4 days to be finished, due to their exclusive design. Not two cover-ups are exactly the same.
By establishing fair trade agreements, based on trust, solidarity and mutual respect, Omnia collaborates with women from local communities to progress and become the economic support of their families.
Alicia and Ofelia are the magic behind OMNIA. They are our “Mayan Hands”.
